• Huckabee is in full support of having diplomatic talks with Iran. According to him the
administration should not take the military option from Iran off the table, nor would Huckabee
himself do it. The military option would become viable only if the US had exhausted other options. 

• According to Mike Huckabee the US is proceeding down a one way track where Iran is
concerned and leading to 'armed confrontation.' 

• Huckabee strongly believes that the negotiations held recently with Iran in regard to Iraq
were narrowly focused and did not explore the complete range of possibilities.

• Mike Huckabee reiterates that many Iranians are well disposed towards the US. He provides
evidence of this by commenting "we should remember that on 9/11, while there was dancing in the
street in other parts of the Muslim world, there were candlelight vigils and mourning in Tehran."

• Huckabee was quoted saying that Iran helped the US during the first invasion of
Afghanistan, especially with the Northern Alliance.

• Huckabee whole heartedly welcomes the new sanctions against Iran since no direct business
is done between Iran and the US, hence there will be no impact unless it is honored by other
countries.

• In Huckabee's opinion, if China and Russia do not support the United Nations sanctions it
would remain weak thus creating greater hope from Iran's biggest trading partner, the European
Union. He feels that Nicholas Sarkozy, the President of France, would become a willing ally in this
attempt.

extremely dangerous to everyone on the globe.

• Palin opines that these nuclear technique should not be given into the hands of the Iranian

• Sarah Palin feels that the US should put pressure on Iran and they should count on the US
allies to help in this diplomatic pressure.

• Palin favors sanctions that need to be implemented against Iran, without assuming that Iran
would not stop nuclear weapons.

• Palin affirms that the US should pursue the sanctions that are against Iran and should not
go back on it on second thought.

• In the event of Israel's military strike on Iran, Palin expresses that the US should not
have a second guess on Israel in its attempt to defend itself and to secure the nation as a whole.

• Palin together with her colleagues fully rejected the statements of the UN body that the
agency had not discovered any "components of a nuclear weapon" or "related nuclear physics studies"
in Iran.

• In fact Sarah Palin declared to a crowd of 9,000 supporters that Mahmoud Ahmadinejad the
Iranian President has plans to get nuclear weapons and use them against Israel in the future.

• According to Sarah Palin's anti-Iran jingle, Iran is planning a 'second holocaust' and 'a
new cold war.'

• Romney does not believe that the US is unable to deal with Iran military. He would not use
ground forces for the attack on Iran but instead would use "blockade, bombardment and surgical
military strikes" for the purpose.

• Romney promised that as President he would not shrink the uses of the military force
especially when serious threats confront the US. As an alternative Romney seeks to get the Congress
involved according to the law and the Constitution.

• During the 2008 election campaign, Mitt Romney ran an ad concluding, "We can and will stop
Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons." 

• According to Romney, Iranians are an intolerant and repressive regime that supports
terrorism and develops nuclear weapons. Owing to this the spread of weapons throughout the world
could pose a threat to all.

• Romney believes that if this situation is to continue and Iran is allowed to develop
nuclear weapons the threat is bound to take a totally new dimension that could be hazardous for all
nations.

• According to Romney, economic sanctions against Iran should be tightened by denying Iran
access to international banking system, discouraging it from obtaining credit or purchasing by
foreign currency. Romney has also supported strategic divestment from companies that support Iranian
regime's hazardous actions.

• Romney further believes that Iran should be diplomatically isolated with only communication
channels remaining open to them.

• He opines that the Iranian people should be made to understand that though nuclear
capabilities seem to be a source of pride it also can become a source of peril.

• Mitt Romney feels that Iran should work with the Muslim communities and their leaders to
build a lasting relationship and partnership for progress and prosperity.
