Language is an extension of the human biological impulse, life experience, spiritual and emotional abstract. It identifies us a person, a community or a concept. For so long, the growth of the human race was limited by its respective individual lifetime. However, the advent of languages, and subsequently, writing, allowed the collaborative and long term compilation, rumination and dissemination of knowledge. It also offers the opportunity for reputed, influential or even notorious members of our species to preserve their thoughts and ideas on paper (or papyrus, tree barks, parchments – take your pick) for the benefit of future generations.
Who would’ve thought that works such as Plato’s Republic, the Upanishads of the Indo-Aryan sages, or the musings of Ptahhotep, would traverse the turbulent millennia and continues to be read and appreciated by the metaphysicists and epistemologist of the current generation?
While we do not suggest the writings of our presidential candidates would reach similar heights and continues to be held in esteem a thousand years from now, it does offer us the opportunity to delve into their minds and learn the underlying fundamentals of their politics.

Former member, Minority Whip and Speaker of the House of Representative, historian, college professor and author, Newt Gingrich is possibly the smartest man in American politics alongside his former adversary, the 42nd American President Bill Clinton. Gingrich is a phenomenally prolific writer, authoring ten books and co-authoring fifteen more, on subjects ranging from personal leadership, politics to American Civil War history - covering both fiction and non-fiction. His fiction works are basically a what-if scenario, providing an alternative reality to seminal historical conflicts such as the Battle of Gettysburg and the bombing of Pearl Harbor. Written with longtime friend, William R. Forstchen, these books are breathtaking in its complexity, historical accuracy and minutiae to detail, and surprisingly, elicits even commendations and favorable critiques from historians and scholars.
Gingrich latest book, To Save America: Stopping Obama's Secular-Socialist Machine, released earlier this year, became an instant national bestseller. In the book, Gingrich introduced to us the concept of the secular socialist machine, a social mechanism that is championed by President Obama and the left leaning liberals of the Democratic Party, which is intent on pushing their agenda of a big government and socialist state to the forefront, transforming the entrepreneurial and capitalistic lifeblood of America into a stale, subservient welfare model. Gingrich argues for a systematic opposition to this perceived threat, and elucidates his readers, chapter by chapter, issues by issues, in his book.
While his rhetoric has somewhat tapered down over the years, Gingrich obviously still has the ability to strike straight at the heart of the matter, real or not, with unrivalled intellect and ferocity.

• The Revolution: A Manifesto
• End the Fed by Ron Paul
Here’s a question for you: Is the 76 year old, 12-term Republican member of Congress a politician or is he a writer? That’s easy, you say.
What if we told you that Ron Paul is arguably the most prodigious writer among any elected official in recent history? While he has a while yet to go before matching former president Jimmy Carter’s 23 titles, the former obstetrician has an incredible body of work that has been, and continues to be published in numerous publications, be it for the FREE Foundation and Mises Institute, or his medical, law, economic and political articles, and not forgetting of course, his personal favorite, civil liberties.
His most recent bestseller, The Revolution: A Manifesto, brings a new perspective to Paul’s eternal advocacy of individual rights, a non-interventionist foreign policy, judicial activism and the supremacy of the constitution; all the while espousing a radicalism in approach towards achieving his Utopian Republican model, which parallels classical republicanism, a concept that incorporates the ideals of civic virtues built upon a mixed constitution.
Another bestseller, End The Fed, which was released just eight days before The Revolution, sees Paul laying a damning verdict on the Federal Reserve, labeling it as irresponsible and corrupt, and going as far as insinuating that the Federal Reserve Act is ‘harmful’ to the nation. It is interesting to note that barely seven months earlier, with almost no notable press coverage to speak of, Paul introduced to Congress the bill H.R. 833: Federal Reserve Board Abolition Act, which failed to pass the House Committee on Financial Services.
Paul’s next book, Liberty Defined: 50 Essential Issues That Affect Our Freedom, is scheduled for an April release. It promises an in-depth look into the issues of personal rights and liberty and promises to be yet another bestseller for the Congressman.
